Beijing launches the development and application of commercial insurance for intelligent connected new energy vehicles

Today (29th), reporters learned from the Beijing Financial Regulatory Bureau that Beijing has taken the lead in the country to develop and apply commercial insurance products specifically for intelligent connected new energy vehicles. It was introduced that in recent years, with the rapid development of the intelligent connected vehicle industry and the widespread application of cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent driving, the risk factors, scenarios, and loss patterns of traffic accidents have changed. Existing commercial motor vehicle insurance is difficult to accurately accommodate the unique causes of damage, usage scenarios, and specific hardware and software losses associated with intelligent connected vehicles. To meet the new demands of industry development and consumers, the Beijing Financial Regulatory Bureau, under the guidance of the Financial Regulatory Administration and with the support of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, has taken the lead in the country to develop and implement dedicated products in a pioneering manner.
