On March 30, local time March 29, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stated that the proposals submitted to Iran by the United States through intermediaries were “extreme and unreasonable.” Speaking to media outlets on the same day, Kanaani said these proposals touched upon Iran’s fundamental rights and did not reflect goodwill or a serious diplomatic approach. He also stated that Iran must rely on its own capabilities to ensure its security and will use all means to prevent further attacks. Kanaani emphasized that Iran’s military actions would not target Arab countries but would be directed solely at US military bases and assets used for operations against Iran. He further clarified that the current conflict is not a war between the American people and Iran, but rather a conflict imposed upon the region. (CCTV)
