The Chinese side's handover ceremony of police supplies to Cambodia was held in Phnom Penh.
The handover ceremony for the aid supplies from the Chinese Ministry of Public Security to the Secretariat of the Inter-Ministerial Committee to Combat Cyber Fraud in Cambodia was held in Phnom Penh on the 16th. Cambodian Minister of State Cai Xinanlie and Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin attended and delivered speeches. Wang Wenbin stated that the police equipment and related materials provided by China to Cambodia are a practical measure to strengthen law enforcement cooperation between China and Cambodia in jointly combating cyber fraud. China is willing to work with Cambodia to eradicate the “poisonous tumor” of telecom and internet fraud so that cyber fraud has nowhere to hide on Cambodian soil, creating a favorable environment for safeguarding the safety of the peoples of both countries and deepening cooperation between China and Cambodia in all fields. Cai Xinanlie expressed gratitude to China for its assistance of police supplies, noting that the Cambodian government is continuously advancing the nationwide special campaign to crack down on cyber fraud and taking strong measures to eliminate fraud parks. China is one of the most trustworthy partners, and the aid supplies from China will help Cambodia more effectively combat cyber-fraud crimes. (Xinhua News Agency)
