Pakistan: The US and Iran both express confidence in facilitating negotiations with Pakistan
On the 29th, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar issued a statement saying that regarding the peaceful resolution of the conflict, Pakistani leaders have maintained communication with U.S. leaders, and both the U.S. and Iran have expressed confidence in Pakistan’s role in facilitating negotiations. The statement reported on the outcomes of the meeting held that day among the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. The statement indicated that Dar briefly introduced the prospects for U.S.-Iran negotiations to be held in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, and the foreign ministers present expressed their full support. The four countries decided to establish a committee composed of the four foreign ministers to negotiate and formulate a specific plan for resolving the conflict. (CCTV News)
