Abstract generation in progress

The leading blockchain developer Vitalik Buterin has presented a detailed strategy for increasing Ethereum’s throughput, which includes both current innovations and ambitious long-term goals. According to information from NS3.AI, this initiative aims to address critical issues of scalability and efficiency within the network.

Upcoming Updates: Current Development Phase

Vitalik Buterin and his team plan to implement a series of key innovations in the upcoming Glamsterdam fork. These improvements include the introduction of block-level access lists, which will optimize the use of computational resources, as well as the deployment of the ePBS (Encrypted Proposer-Builder Separation) system for better separation of validation functions.

Particular attention is being paid to the implementation of multidimensional gas — an innovative fee management mechanism that will allow for more flexible resource allocation across the network depending on the type of transactions. This system is designed to significantly enhance the efficiency of transaction execution and prevent uncontrolled growth of the blockchain state data volume.

Long-Term Strategy: Expansion Through Increased Throughput

Looking ahead, Ethereum’s development focuses on large-scale optimization of blob architecture — special data structures intended for temporary information storage. Increasing the throughput of blobs becomes a strategic priority, as it facilitates the expansion of the entire Layer 2 ecosystem and significantly broadens the capabilities of the main network.

The realization of this plan supports Vitalik Buterin’s vision of transforming Ethereum into a truly scalable global protocol capable of serving billions of users without compromising on security and decentralization.
