MFA Announces Ukrainian-Polish Historians' Conference
(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was discussed during a meeting between Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Oleksandr Mishchenko and the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Polish Government Plenipotentiary for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Paweł Kowal, according to Ukrinform, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The parties noted that the search operations launched on March 23 by a joint Ukrainian-Polish expedition in the village of Uhly, Rivne region, are an important testament to constructive and pragmatic cooperation in resolving historical issues.
“In this context, the Deputy Minister highlighted the parties’ effective preparations for the Ukrainian-Polish conference (forum) of historians to be held in Poland on May 6–8, the purpose of which is to discuss the most complex issues of our shared past at the professional level among historians from both countries,” the Foreign Ministry reported.
