35 Suspected Treasonous Individuals Arrested in Western Iran Province
On the 29th, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported, citing the police of Lorestan Province in western Iran, that 35 individuals suspected of treason have been arrested in the province since the U.S. and Israel launched military actions against Iran. The report stated that 16 of them were arrested for illegally photographing sensitive and military sites and for contacts with hostile media networks, while the remaining 19 were arrested for spreading rumors and creating panic. Additionally, on the 29th, Iran’s Mehr News Agency quoted sources in Iran’s intelligence department as saying that 6 “mercenaries of the Zionist regime” were arrested in East Azerbaijan Province in northwestern Iran.
