Lebanon revokes approval for the appointment of Iran's ambassador to Lebanon

Xinhua News Agency, Beirut, March 24 (Reporters Shen Feng and Cao Changhao) The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on the 24th that Lebanon has revoked its approval for the appointment of the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, declaring him an “unwelcome person” and demanding that he leave the country by March 29 at the latest.

On the same day, the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Iranian chargé d’affaires to express this position. The Ministry stated in a declaration that Lebanon is also recalling its ambassador to Iran for consultations, and this action is based on Iran’s violation of diplomatic norms between the two countries.
