Since the start of the “14th Five-Year Plan,” the development of artificial intelligence has been rapid, leading to a swift increase in global investment in computing power infrastructure. In Suzhou, Jiangsu, the export of optical cable manufacturing companies has seen rapid growth. Relevant enterprises are working at full capacity to seize the global market. A staff member from a certain company told reporters that since the end of last year, the company’s overseas order volume has significantly increased, with numerous orders coming from South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia, all requiring delivery within half a month. In the past two months, this company’s optical fiber exports have grown by 51% year-on-year. Production schedules are currently very full. During this time, the company is accelerating the expansion of its factory and increasing production lines to enhance capacity in response to market demand. According to Nanjing Customs, in the first two months of this year, the export value of wires and cables, including optical cables, from the Wujiang area reached 860 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 69.3%. Accompanying this round of global artificial intelligence development and the explosion in demand for computing power, this year Jiangsu’s related product exports have also seen rapid growth. The latest data shows that in the first two months, Jiangsu Province exported electrical equipment worth 40.67 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26%. Among them, the export of wires and cables was 9.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.3%. The export of transformers, known as the “heart of electricity,” reached 1.98 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 63.7%. (CCTV Finance)
