Zhiyuan Robotics patents published for evaluation methods related to embodied model testing

Recently, a patent titled “Evaluation method, system, device, medium, and program product for embodied models” associated with Zhiyuan Robotics’ related company, Zhiyuan Innovation (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., was published. According to the patent abstract on Qichacha, the evaluation method includes: obtaining task description information; inputting the task description information into a first large language model, so that the first large language model generates a task instruction set for controlling the execution mechanism, where the task instruction set includes at least one task instruction and associated information; inputting the task instruction set and simulation configuration parameters into a second large language model to generate an evaluation configuration file matched to the simulation configuration parameters; inputting the evaluation configuration file into a simulator, using the instruction to have the embodied robot model under test control a robot in the simulator, execute the task instruction set, and generate the evaluation results of the embodied robot model under test. By using large language models to achieve an end-to-end closed-loop automation from task description information to evaluation configuration and evaluation execution, the approach enables large-scale, high-precision evaluation. 宇树科技 founder Wang Xingxing: embodied-intelligence GPT moment will probably still take two to three years

Recently, Yuanshu Technology’s founder and CEO Wang Xingxing appeared at the 2026 China Internet Media Forum, delivering a speech titled “When robots go viral.” He personally defined the “GPT moment” of embodied intelligence as: taking a robot to an unfamiliar environment—through voice commands, the robot can complete 80% to 90% of tasks. Wang Xingxing said that the “GPT moment” of embodied intelligence will probably arrive in about two to three years. “It might come pretty quickly, or it might be a little slower, but this year or next year, there will definitely be very significant technological progress waiting for everyone.” (Securities Times)

Turing Award winner Yao Qizhi: China is already leading the world in areas such as smart robot and large-model R&D

Recently, the second Pujiang AI Academic Conference was held in Shanghai. At the event, Turing Award winner and Chinese Academy of Sciences academician Yao Qizhi said that compared with 2022 when ChatGPT was released, China is currently ahead of the world in areas such as intelligent robots and large-model R&D, and China also has clear advantages in terms of talent reserves, application scenarios, and market scale. Therefore, there is no need to worry about the continued development of these fields. In addition, Yao Qizhi pointed out that AI safety sounds like an unremarkable direction and seems to have some “conflict” with AI development; but in practice, if there are no safe robots and no (AI) systems that can handle important matters, their applications will not be (widely) accepted. He noted that the safety issues of AI are an important bottleneck in its development. “We don’t understand AI that well, so its security has problems. If security is a problem, then in the future it will face a bottleneck in promoting its applications.” In Yao Qizhi’s view, besides AI safety, he also pointed out that AI4S (Artificial Intelligence for Science—artificial intelligence driven scientific research) is also a direction that China’s AI development needs to focus on.(China News Service)
