WTI rises nearly 1% intraday, reports say the UAE is prepared to help the U.S. militarily open the Strait of Hormuz

WTI crude oil futures are currently trading at $102.34 per barrel, according to The Wall Street Journal. The United Arab Emirates is prepared to help the United States use force to open the Strait of Hormuz; the UAE is lobbying the UN Security Council to pass a resolution authorizing action.
