Morgan Stanley has reiterated an “Equalweight” rating and a $24 price target for Vital Farms (NASDAQ:VITL) stock, despite the company’s shares trading significantly below its 52-week high. The assessment follows meetings between analysts and the company’s CFO, Thilo Wrede, and highlights issues such as scanner sales weakness, competitive promotional activity, and a social media controversy. Despite these challenges, Vital Farms shows financial stability with more cash than debt and liquid assets exceeding short-term obligations, and expects a new facility to open by mid-2027.
