People Finance News, April 3—The mandatory national standard GB 47372-2026 《Mobile Power Supply Safety Technical Specification》, drafted and developed under the organization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was officially released today (April 3). Based on the requirements of the two existing general mandatory national standards, the 《Technical Specification》 clarifies a number of key requirements.

The 《Technical Specification》 calls for strengthening battery intrinsic safety. It introduces a needle penetration test into the standard, specifying improvements to the safety protection capabilities of mobile power supplies in scenarios such as high temperatures, overcharging, and crushing. To reduce the risk of internal short circuits after long-term use of mobile power supplies, it adds specialized inspections related to cycle aging. It also requires that a recommended safe usage period be indicated, reminding consumers to replace mobile power supplies with poor safety performance in a timely manner.
