Breaking! Iran attacks Amazon cloud computing center, Revolutionary Guard: This location is related to espionage activities and is the first actual warning! Previously, Iran had listed Apple and 18 other U.S. giants as targets for attack.
According to CCTV International News, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said today (April 2), “The 90th wave of the third phase of Military Operation ‘True Promise 4’ has begun, with the target being the Amazon Web Services data center located in Bahrain.
The IRGC statement said that this Amazon Web Services data center “is linked to espionage activities,” and that this strike is the “first real warning” to the relevant attack actions.
On March 31, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had issued an announcement saying that it would designate as “lawful strike targets” companies and institutions associated with 18 U.S. information and communications technology and artificial intelligence companies in the Middle East region. The IRGC listed 18 companies in the announcement, the vast majority of which are U.S. high-tech firms, including: Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Google, the “Meta” company, IBM, Dell, Palantir Technologies, NVIDIA, JPMorgan Chase, Tesla, General Electric, Boeing.
In addition, according to Xinhua News Agency, Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf posted an article on social media on April 2, making a tough statement regarding the current security situation in Iran and the nationwide mobilization, emphasizing that Iran is fully prepared for comprehensive defense, and that any external aggression will be firmly met with retaliation.
In the article, Qalibaf reviewed the steadfast course of the Iranian people in defending national sovereignty, pointing out that, to protect their homeland, Iranian people are always ready to step forward. “We are not a warlike people, but whenever it is necessary to defend our homeland, each of us will become a fighter on this land.”
Qalibaf said that in less than a week, about 7 million Iranian people voluntarily stepped forward, swore to take up arms, and are ready to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In the article, Qalibaf emphasized that Iran has made all necessary preparations and will firmly defend national sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity—“prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice and to shed blood.”
