Over the past two years, I’ve been looking for an answer: Is there anything in logistics that can’t be done without AI, and where AI can bring about a huge transformation?

Because I’m not satisfied with the kinds of things where AI can simply automate tasks like recording orders, taking customer complaint calls, scheduling dispatch plans, or generating statistical reports—things that people can already do, and where AI can help do them better.

Logistics is a service industry with an enormous scale—dispersed across every corner of the physical world—where all kinds of events of every size happen every minute and second. It always requires dynamic communication between people, and it depends heavily on a dense, labor-intensive workforce. I firmly believe that in a service industry like this, AI can do many things that were impossible before, fundamentally changing logistics.
