Asian Stocks Trend | Japanese Stocks Close Up 660 Points, Down 0.5% This Week

Asia-Pacific stocks rise.

Japan’s stock market rises, returning to the 53,000 level. The Nikkei Average opened higher and climbed throughout the session, up as much as 963 points or 1.84%, reaching a high of 53,426. It closed the full day at 53,123, up 660 points or 1.26%. Japanese shares fall this week cumulatively by 249 points, or 0.47%.

South Korea’s stock market rises by more than 2%. The Korea Composite in Seoul closes at 5,377 points, up 143 points, or 2.74%.

Taiwan has a holiday today, and financial markets are closed.
