Italy is set to begin receiving liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the U.S. Golden Pass LNG facility, a joint venture between QatarEnergy and Exxon Mobil, starting in June. This move aims to address a potential supply gap for Italy caused by disruptions from Qatar due to the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran. Italian utility Edison, which has a long-term contract with QatarEnergy, recently received notification of extended pauses in its LNG deliveries.
