Reporter’s Note At present, Jiaozuo Longhe Footwear Co., Ltd., located in Gedian Dian Town of Wuzhi County, is entering its peak production season, and there is a shortage of workers for the company. The town Party committee and the town government move forward with services, adopt precise measures, and, with multiple approaches, address the issue of difficulty in recruiting workers for enterprises.
In recent days, each of the company’s three workshops has production lines running busy and orderly, presenting a heated production scene. “Every year, our company plans to sell 3 million pairs. This is the peak season for taking orders. The orders we’ve received are already nearly 800k pairs. We urgently need to recruit new personnel to meet our production needs.” Zhang Xing, the company’s production director, told the reporter that at this time it is the peak season when enterprises are taking orders, and the existing staff of more than 300 people can’t possibly meet production requirements.
As an important foreign-trade export enterprise in Wuzhi County, the company’s labor needs must be kept at around 500 people year-round. To ease the problem of difficulty in recruiting workers, the town Party committee and the town government, on the one hand, work together with the human resources and social services department to introduce professionals with specialized skills; on the other hand, they organize efforts in each village to strengthen publicity, guiding eligible residents to find employment and earn more right at their doorsteps.
“The town Party committee and the town government always put the urgent, difficult, and pressing needs of enterprises first. Assisting enterprises in alleviating difficulties and ensuring employment is the core work for optimizing the business environment and serving the real economy. We take the initiative to move forward and implement precise measures. Based on our efforts to solve the enterprise workforce problem, we help residents in the jurisdiction achieve employment close to home, improve their happiness level, and promote high-quality economic development in the town area.” Guo Lulul, deputy town head of Gedian Dian Town, said.
It is understood that in order to attract workers, the company has also shown great sincerity. The wages for newly recruited workers are stable. Free accommodation is provided, and even meals for three meals a day cost only 6 yuan.
Zhang Xing said that after newly recruited workers enter the company, they will be assigned suitable positions based on their age groups. Once all personnel have received training and gone on the job, the wages of ordinary employees who are just starting out are about 3,000 yuan per month. Generally, piece-rate wages are 4,000 yuan to 4,500 yuan. For some individual positions, earnings may even exceed 6,000 yuan to 8,000 yuan.
