Iran proposes establishing a US and Israel-free alliance in the Middle East

On March 25 local time, the spokesperson of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command of Iran called out to Islamic states, urging the establishment in the Middle East of “a security and military alliance with no U.S. or Israel involved.” The spokesperson said that the Middle East does not need a country thousands of kilometers away, a country that treats Islamic states as a “cash cow,” or a country that safeguards regional security by sacrificing other countries for Israel’s security. He also questioned countries that host U.S. military bases: “If you are faced with Israeli aggression, will Americans fire a shot for you?” (CCTV News)
