Honda adjusts strategy; Sony and Honda halt joint electric vehicle launch plans

Sony Group and Honda Motor announced on March 25 that they will end the development and rollout of their Afeela-series electric vehicle models. Due to Honda’s reassessment of its electrification strategy, the original business plan is no longer feasible. Sony expects that, given the “asset-light” operating model adopted by Sony Honda Mobility, this change will not have a material impact on its financial condition.
