【Caixin Global】 The Strait of Hormuz may have a second passageway. On April 3, a merchant fleet made up of two 300k-ton supertanker oil tankers (VLCC) and one 140k-cubic-meter super-large liquefied natural gas (LNG) vessel crossed the Strait of Hormuz eastward from the Persian Gulf and arrived offshore of Muscat Port in Oman.

All three ships are operated by Asyad Shipping, an Omani state-owned enterprise. They began crossing the Strait of Hormuz on the afternoon of April 2, but then shut down their Automatic Identification System (AIS); by the time the signal reappeared on the afternoon of April 3, they had already crossed the strait.
