Multiple regions in Hubei intensively optimize housing fund policies
People’s Finance News, April 5—The reporter learned from Hubei Province’s Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development that in recent days, multiple places in Hubei, including Wuhan, Xiangyang, Yichang, Xianning, Xiaogan, Suizhou, and Shennongjia, have intensively optimized the policies for using the housing provident fund. A series of people-benefiting measures have been introduced, focusing on lowering the loan threshold, increasing loan amounts, relaxing withdrawal requirements, making intercity processing more convenient, and supporting urban renewal. This new policy has a broad coverage area and strong public-benefit nature; multiple localities have broken down barriers to intercity business, improving the convenience of using the housing provident fund. In Wuhan, the restriction on Wuhan household registration for borrowers applying for intercity loans has been removed—nationwide paying employees who purchase homes in Wuhan may apply for housing provident fund loans. In Yichang, restrictions requiring local social security or household registration proof to make provident fund withdrawals for purchasing homes outside the province have been lifted. In Xianning, the province supports intercity paying employees in handling “business-to-provident-fund” (“商转公”) loans, further easing the burden of buying a home. (Xinhua News Agency)
