According to monitoring of market prices for 50 key means of production in 9 major categories across the national circulating sector, in late March 2026 compared with mid-March, prices increased for 31 products, decreased for 16 products, and were unchanged for 3 products.

1.Indicator definitions
Market prices of key means of production in the circulating sector refer to the wholesale and retail prices of key means of production operated by enterprises. Unlike ex-factory prices, market prices for means of production include both ex-factory prices and also the distribution costs, profits, and taxes and fees incurred by operating enterprises. Ex-factory prices and market prices influence each other; due to a time lag, their changes may not be fully consistent within a certain time period.
2.Monitoring scope
The monitoring of market prices for key means of production in the circulating sector includes the prices of 50 products across 9 major categories. For the category and product specification details, see the appendix.
3.Monitoring coverage
The monitoring coverage includes more than 2000 operating enterprises, such as wholesalers, agents, and distributors, across over 300 trading markets in 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) nationwide.
4.Monitoring methods
Price monitoring methods include information officers collecting prices on site, as well as inquiries by phone, instant messaging tools, and email.
5.Statistics on number of increases and decreases
The numbers of products whose prices rise, fall, or remain unchanged are calculated based on the percentage change (%).
