Constructors stay at their posts during the holiday, with progress on major projects across multiple regions continuously being updated.

China Central Television News: During this holiday, construction sites for major projects across the country remain bustling. Builders stay on the job, race against the clock to secure deadlines, and do their utmost to ensure the projects advance smoothly.

Major priority engineering projects in Guangdong are advancing at full speed
During the Qingming holiday, Guangdong’s major priority construction projects seize the construction window, breaking through key milestones again and again. The Shenzhen–Nan Railway Yunfu girder casting yard has officially been established and begun operations, and the 3rd segment project of the Shenzhen–Nan Railway has fully entered the stage of superstructure construction.

The Shenzhen–Nan Railway line is 142 kilometers long, with an expected construction period of 4 years. After the project is completed, travel time from Nanning to Shenzhen will be shortened from the current 3.5 hours to 2.5 hours, accelerating the flow of resources and the integration of industrial cooperation between the two provinces of Guangdong and Guangxi.
Li Xianfa, the person in charge of the first work area of the Shenzhen–Nan Railway 3rd segment project, said that all types of machinery and equipment operate on 24-hour shift rotations to ensure construction does not stop and schedules do not lag, striving to achieve the goal of opening the entire line to traffic as soon as possible.

Jiangsu: Important energy infrastructure engineering accelerates its advance
During this holiday, in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu, an important energy infrastructure project in the national “Fifteen Five” power plan—the expansion project of phase eight of the Guoneng Jianbi Power Plant, with two 1-million-kilowatt generating units— is being advanced at a rapid pace. The reporter saw on site that construction personnel were performing pile foundation work in the smokestack-tower area and the main plant area. This expansion project has a total investment of more than 7.2 billion yuan and adopts clean and efficient coal-fired power generation technology, which can save a large amount of coal resources each year.

Wang Chenhui, director of the development department of the State Grid Zhenjiang Power Supply Company, said that after the expansion project comes into operation, it will add approximately 10 billion kilowatt-hours of annual electricity generation, which can meet the annual electricity needs of more than 3 million households.
