People’s Finance News April 3, 2026: On April 1, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs held a work meeting on animal disease prevention and control and quarantine supervision for 2026, conducting an in-depth analysis of the current situation and making an overall deployment of the year’s key priorities. The meeting emphasized that the deployment requirements of the Central Document No. 1 regarding animal husbandry and veterinary work must be implemented strictly. It said that efforts should adhere to the general work tone of pursuing progress while maintaining stability, focus on the goal of improving quality and efficiency, strengthen bottom-line thinking and innovative thinking, coordinate and advance the prevention and control of major animal diseases, key zoonotic diseases, and common, frequently occurring diseases, and work to the fullest extent to reduce the risk of outbreaks. This will help safeguard the high-quality development of the livestock industry and ensure veterinary public health security.
