Iranian military: Ready to ambush enemy advanced fighters

ME News update, on April 4 (UTC+8), Ali Reza Elhami, commander of the Iranian Air Defense Joint Command, said the same day during an inspection of Iran’s Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guard defensive positions that Iran, using newly developed methods and equipment built through its own research and development, “has been prepared to ambush the enemy’s fifth-generation fighters and advanced drones.” He said that in the earlier battles, Iran’s air defense forces successfully shot down several of the enemy’s advanced fighters, more than 160 drones involved in the joint U.S.-Israeli incursion, including “MQ-9,” “Hermes,” “Lucas,” and others, as well as dozens of cruise missiles. Before the enemy launched its offensive operations, they took “timely and precise” action. In addition, among the operations carried out by the Army and the Revolutionary Guard air defense units, multiple enemy fourth- and fifth-generation aircraft were hit, damaged, or brought down. Elhami said that this achievement was due to the innovative use of advanced tactics, modernized equipment, and innovation in air defense systems, which put the enemy into disorder. (Source: PANews)
