Memecoins in the spotlight: what's happening in the market right now

I've been following some shitcoins that have been gaining traction lately and thought it would be interesting to share. For example, BONK has moved from being just a joke to something more serious — it has about 119 integrations across different blockchains, is listed on major exchanges, and handles a lot of volume. Currently trading around $0.00 with $366.42K in transactions over 24 hours. It has nearly 1 million holders and a market cap close to $485.99M. It’s become more than just a memecoin.

PEPE is another that catches attention. It started as a pure meme but built a real community. It’s around $0.00 now, with a market cap of $1.40B. People say that every time it’s declared dead, it comes back to life. Like that project nobody wants to completely discard, you know?

FLOKI also has an interesting story — based on Elon’s dog. It has gone through ups and downs but remains relevant in the shitcoin universe. The current price is $0.00, with $70.05K in 24-hour volume, and a market cap of $257.87M. Whenever there’s positive crypto commentary online, this type of token tends to rise.

BOME and DOGE complete the conversation. BOME is more experimental, trying to create a meme archive on the Solana blockchain, but it’s still volatile (-1.22% in 24h). DOGE is the classic, with the largest market cap ($13.89B), more stable than the other shitcoins on the list, trading at $0.09.

What’s important to remember: these shitcoin projects are speculative. They do have active communities, yes, but they fluctuate a lot. Some have developed real integrations and use cases, others are still more meme than functionality. It’s worth keeping an eye on the market, understanding each project, but without illusions of guaranteed quick gains. Volatility is real.
