China National Petroleum Corporation Changqing Oilfield Oil Production Plant No. 10 blares the horn for spring production with an enterprising, high-spirited stance
Spring returns to the earth, and all things compete to grow. Since March, China National Petroleum Corporation’s Changqing Oilfield, Oil Production Plant No. 10, has seized the favorable opportunity of rising spring temperatures to implement the spirit of the two sessions (the Two Sessions) into every link of production organization, technical research and breakthroughs, and safety management. Centering on the three main lines—new wells bringing production online, old wells maintaining stable output, and measures increasing production—it has blown the “open-for-a-strong-start” horn for the sprint to a great first quarter with an enterprising posture.
In terms of technical management, the plant adheres to technology-driven empowerment and refined potential-spotting. In response to the situation that decline in certain blocks is accelerating, technical staff deepen reservoir geological research, optimize water injection policies, and strongly promote proven technologies such as fine water injection and adjusting injection profiles to improve sweeping efficiency. At the same time, they intensify process and technology research and breakthrough efforts for horizontal wells and high-angle wells, striving to increase single-well production and recovery efficiency. By strengthening dynamic monitoring and analysis and relying on a digital management platform, the plant ensures that all development indicators remain steady, under control, and that production operations connect efficiently.
As temperatures warm steadily, spring equipment overhaul and maintenance work is fully underway. All work areas quickly moved into action to conduct comprehensive “health checks” on key equipment such as pumping units, water injection pumps, and gathering and transportation pipelines. They carry out solid basic maintenance work including cleaning, lubrication, tightening, and corrosion prevention. Meanwhile, they make advance plans for preparations such as flood control and disaster prevention and spring inspections of electrical equipment, define time milestones, and implement responsibilities to specific individuals, laying a solid foundation for safe production during the seasonal transition.
All aspects of capacity-construction work are being advanced in an orderly manner according to plan. The project team closely focuses on the core goal of bringing individual wells to full production and achieving maximum performance. In drilling tests, they follow the working approach of “adjusting the well configuration, optimizing layout, and seizing the time-to-rate.” They concentrate efforts on four key projects—enhancing reserves and production, increasing per-well output, creating high-quality performance, and controlling investment and reducing costs—to jointly build a working framework for refined production management. To ensure that advance water injection is fully implemented, they optimize and adjust the operating schedule according to an oil-water zoning combination mode, and precisely coordinate production organization and operation. For technical challenges encountered in drilling construction, such as complex formations and well leakage, they organize technical backbone personnel to stay on-site at the well for forward command and on-site office work, conduct real-time assessments of geological conditions, optimize construction plans, and strengthen inter-process coordination and process control, ensuring efficient, seamless linkage across all steps. At present, the project team is doing everything possible to accelerate the pace of capacity construction, tightly抓抓 the implementation of milestone targets, and fully promote new wells to be put into operation early, produce oil early, and deliver results early, providing solid support for stable production and production growth.
In the face of challenges brought by large day-night temperature swings in spring and changeable weather affecting production and operations, the plant further upgrades on-site control measures. It strictly implements the responsibility system for safe production, increases the frequency of inspections of key wells and key stations and storage areas, and closely monitors day-to-day management details such as heating and washing oil wells, chemical dosing, and parameter adjustments. They strengthen investigation and remediation of remote wells and wells that have been shut in for a long time, and eliminate safety hazards in a timely manner. At the same time, through methods such as pre-shift meetings and on-site training, they continuously enhance the ability of frontline employees to identify risks and handle emergencies, ensuring that spring production boosting campaigns advance safely, steadily, and efficiently.
