Oil tanker carrying Iraqi crude passes through the Strait of Hormuz

Odaily Planet Daily News reports that data from LSEG and Kpler show that one day after Iran said Iraq could be exempt from restrictions on passing through this key shipping lane, a tanker carrying Iraqi crude oil was found to transit the Strait of Hormuz on a route close to Iran’s coast. Kpler data shows that the “Ocean Thunder” loaded about 1 million barrels of Basra heavy crude oil on March 2 and is expected to discharge in mid-April in Malaysia’s Bianchilan (Port Klang). (Jin10)
