World New Energy Vehicle Conference (Thailand Session) Focuses on International Cooperation and Talent Development
People’s Finance News, April 3—The 2026 World New Energy Vehicle Conference (Thailand Special Session) was held in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, on April 2–3. More than 300 attendees from the automotive industry and the education sector in multiple countries across Southeast Asia attended the event to jointly discuss coordinated development of the regional new energy vehicle industry and to promote cooperation on training high-skilled talent. In his remarks, Wan Gang, Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology and Chairman of the World New Energy Vehicle Conference, said that the development of the new energy vehicle industry cannot be separated from support from high-skilled talent. China and Thailand are relying on a solid foundation of educational cooperation to continuously deepen collaboration on training new energy vehicle talent and to promote coordinated development between talent cultivation and the industry. Yusaphapong Wenuchot, Secretary-General of the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand’s Ministry of Education, said that China’s development in technology fields such as new energy is at a globally leading level, providing Thailand with important technical support and experience to learn from. The Thai side will further strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in talent cultivation, promote coordinated development between industry and education, and advance regional talent cultivation and international education cooperation.
