Our scholars provide new solutions for the treatment of elderly hip fractures

People’s Finance News, April 3—Hip fractures in the elderly seriously threaten their health and safety of life due to extremely high rates of disability and mortality. Recently, a study jointly carried out by Beijing Jishuitan Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, Harbin Medical University, and the Second Hospital of Harbin Medical University, among others, focused on the current status of hip fracture management for the elderly in county-level hospitals across our country, and explored a multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment pathway that fits grassroots realities, providing a scientific basis for promoting the downward allocation of high-quality medical resources. This achievement was published at 3:00 a.m. on April 3 in the academic journal The Lancet—Regional Health (West Pacific). (Xinhua News Agency)
