A single vessel loaded 147 wind power turbine blades, with the loading volume at the Qinzhou Port wind power blade terminal of Beibu Gulf Port setting a new domestic record.
Recently, with the smooth loading of the last EN156 A V2-type wind power blade, the “Borun Jiuzhou” vessel completed its 147-blade loading mission in full, breaking and setting a new record domestically for the highest wind power blade loading capacity of a single vessel at 132 units in one go. This marks a milestone leap for Beibu Gulf Port in the specialized loading of large-scale wind power equipment. The wind power blades loaded on this voyage are 76.8 meters long and weigh 16 tons each. The “Borun Jiuzhou” vessel is 153.8 meters long and 42 meters wide; its broad, level deck provides favorable conditions for efficient stacking and stowage. The operating team at Qinzhou Port adopted a process of interleaving and stacking the blades, and optimizing the number of stowage layers, to maximize the use of deck space and achieve a historic breakthrough in the number of blades loaded per vessel. The ship completed the full cargo load in 6.7 shifts, with an average production of 21 blades per shift and a peak production of 25 blades per shift. The total workload per vessel, the average blades per shift, and the peak blades per shift all reached new highs. (CCTV News)
