On April 5, U.S. President Trump reiterated his demand for Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, threatening that if they do not comply, Iran will “live in hell.” Trump posted on social media, stating, “April 7 will be Iran’s Power Plant Day and Bridge Day,” implying a severe bombing of Iran’s power plants and bridges. He also said, “Open that damn strait, or you will live in hell—just wait and see!” On April 4, Trump had posted on social media, demanding Iran to “reach an agreement” by April 6 or “open the Strait of Hormuz,” threatening that “time is running out—only 48 hours remain before disaster strikes them.” In response, the commander of Iran’s Central Headquarters of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base, Abdollahian, emphasized that the Iranian military will firmly defend national rights, protect national assets, and make aggressors pay the price.
