Market price situation of livestock products and feed in the second week of March

Based on monitoring of 500 county-level wholesale and retail markets and collection points nationwide, in the second week of March (the collection date was March 12), prices of commodity broiler chicks, live cattle, and feed products increased month over month. Prices of pork products, chicken eggs, chicken meat, beef, mutton, and fresh milk decreased month over month. The national average price of piglets was 26.9 yuan per kilogram, down 2.0% from the previous week and down 27.1% year over year. The national average price of live hogs was 11.38 yuan per kilogram, down 4.3% from the previous week and down 26.1% year over year. The national average price of pork was 22.48 yuan per kilogram, down 2.4% from the previous week and down 15.0% year over year. The national average price of corn was 2.47 yuan per kilogram, up 0.8% from the previous week and up 5.6% year over year.
