Just now! Trump, sudden threat! Iran launches fierce attack
Trump Issues Major Major Warning Again.
Local time April 5, U.S. President Trump again demanded that Iran open the Strait of Hormuz and threatened that if it did not, Iran would “live in hell.”
At present, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz has attracted close attention from all sides. On the 5th local time, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that Oman and Iran held a deputy minister-level meeting of the foreign ministries on the 4th, during which the two sides discussed feasible options for ensuring smooth navigation through the Strait of Hormuz under the current regional situation.
Meanwhile, Iran’s counterattack actions have also been ongoing. On the 5th, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement saying that in the early hours of the 5th, the IRGC Navy and Aerospace Force jointly launched the Wave 96 strike operations of “Real Promise-4,” focusing on Israeli targets and economic-interest facilities of the United States in countries in the region.
Trump Threatens
In the evening of April 5, according to Xinhua News Agency, U.S. President Trump again demanded on the 5th that Iran open the Strait of Hormuz and threatened that if it did not, Iran would “live in hell.”
Trump wrote on social media that “April 7 will be Iran’s power plant day and bridge day,” indicating that he would carry out a fierce bombardment of Iran’s power plants and bridges. He also said, “Open that damn strait, or else you’ll live in hell—you’ll see!”
On April 4, Trump wrote on social media, calling on Iran to “reach an agreement” or “open the Strait of Hormuz” before April 6, and threatening that “there’s hardly any time left—only 48 hours remain before all disasters come crashing down on their heads.”
Abdullah, commander of the Hatem Ambiya Central Headquarters of Iran’s Armed Forces, responded that day, emphasizing that Iran’s armed forces would firmly defend national rights, protect national assets, and make the aggressors pay the price.
According to CCTV News, in response to Trump’s threats—if Iran fails to meet the U.S.’s demands and reach an agreement with the United States or open the Strait of Hormuz—the United States may take further action within 48 hours. Iranian media, citing sources, reported that two Israeli power plants have been included in the “attack targets list” of the joint operations of regional resistance forces. The move is also seen as part of a “tit-for-tat” response policy.
On the 5th local time, Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying that on the 4th, Oman and Iran held a deputy minister-level meeting of the foreign ministries, and experts from the relevant fields of both sides attended.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed feasible options for ensuring smooth navigation through the Strait of Hormuz under the current regional situation. The experts from both sides also proposed multiple ideas and recommendations on related issues for further research.
In addition, according to The Paper, the former Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohammad ElBaradei, urged Gulf states and the United Nations to take urgent intervention measures to prevent the situation in Iran from escalating further. On April 5, he posted on a social network saying, “To the governments of the Gulf countries: please once again do everything in your power to stop this madman from turning the region into a sea of fire.” He was referring to U.S. President Trump and the 48-hour final ultimatum he issued to Iran.
Iran Launches Fierce Attacks
According to CCTV News, on the 5th, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a statement saying that in retaliation for the earlier acts of aggression by the U.S.-Israeli coalition, in the early hours of the 5th the IRGC Navy and Aerospace Force jointly launched the Wave 96 strike operations of “Real Promise-4.”
The statement said that in the first phase of the operation, the Revolutionary Guards mainly targeted Israeli targets and economic-interest facilities of the United States in countries in the region. The specific achievements included: a fierce attack on the Haifa refinery that supplies fuel to Israeli fighter jets, destroying its core portion; missile strikes on the natural gas facilities of ExxonMobil and Chevron located in Habshan, the United Arab Emirates, and on petrochemical plants located in Ruwais, the United Arab Emirates. In addition, multiple petrochemical facilities in Sitra, Bahrain and Al-Suhaiba, Kuwait were also hit by drones and missiles, causing the related facilities’ operations to completely come to a standstill and triggering large-scale fires.
The IRGC emphasized that, with the enemy suffering consecutive defeats across multiple fronts, it resorted to attacking non-military targets. This strike is only an initial response, aimed at warning that any infringement on Iran’s non-military infrastructure will be met with a doubled retaliation. The statement concluded by warning that if the enemy continues to attack non-military targets, the second phase of operations will be even more intense, and U.S. taxpayers will have to pay the price.
