Iranian military: Ready to ambush enemy advanced fighters

ME News update: On April 4 (UTC+8), Ali Reza Erhami, commander of Iran’s Joint Air Defense Forces, said during a visit to Iran’s Army and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps defensive positions that Iran has “made preparations to ambush the enemy’s fifth-generation fighter jets and advanced unmanned aerial vehicles” using new methods and equipment developed independently.

He said that in earlier battles, Iran’s air defense forces successfully shot down several enemy advanced fighter jets, more than 160 drones including “MQ-9,” “Hermes,” “Lucas,” and other drones used in joint U.S.-Israeli incursions, as well as dozens of cruise missiles. Before the enemy carried out offensive operations, they took “timely and precise” actions.

In the actions carried out by the Army and the air defense units of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, multiple enemy fourth- and fifth-generation aircraft were hit, damaged, or crashed. Erhami said that this achievement was due to the innovative application of advanced tactics, modernized equipment, and air defense system upgrades, which threw the enemy into chaos. (Source: PANews)
