According to incomplete statistics from Longchuan Wind Power Network, from March 1, 2026 to March 31, 2026, there were 31 wind turbine procurement bidding openings in China, with a cumulative procurement capacity of 43,954.7MW (about 43.95GW). This includes 30 wind power projects, with a total procurement capacity of 8,954.7MW; and 1 centralized procurement project for wind turbine units, with a total procurement capacity of 35GW.

Project owners include 11 companies: China Huaneng, China Huadian, CEC, Power Construction Corp of China, CGN, State Power Investment Corporation, Zhejiang Energy Group, Shaanxi Investment Group, SDIC Group, Zhangjiakou Guokong Group, and Yunnan Energy Investment.

In terms of project type (excluding centralized procurement projects), there are 29 onshore wind power projects, with a total installed capacity of 8,646.7MW; and 1 offshore wind power project, with a total installed capacity of 308MW.

Bidder statistics for wind turbine OEMs

In March 2026, the total installed capacity of wind power projects at bid openings (excluding centralized procurement projects) was 8,954.7MW. There were 8 turbine OEMs that won bids, led by Dongfang Wind Power, Goldwind Co., and Vestas Energy (with the top three winning scales).

Dongfang Wind Power ranked first, winning bids for 6 wind power projects, with a cumulative bid scale of 2,663.4MW;

Goldwind Co. ranked second, winning bids for 5 wind power projects, with a cumulative bid scale of 1,640MW;

Vestas Energy ranked third, winning bids for 2 wind power projects, with a cumulative bid scale of 1,087.7MW;

CRRC Zhuzhou Institute ranked fourth, winning bids for 4 wind power projects, with a cumulative bid scale of 922.7MW;

Sany Heavy Energy ranked fifth, winning bids for 4 wind power projects, with a cumulative bid scale of 870MW;

Goldwind Technology ranked sixth, winning bids for 4 wind power projects, with a cumulative bid scale of 620MW;

SPIC Haizhuang ranked seventh, winning bids for 3 wind power projects, with a bid scale of 605.4MW;

AEG Wind ranked eighth, winning bids for 2 wind power projects, with a cumulative bid scale of 545.5MW.

China Power Construction: Turbine frame procurement project

China Power Construction’s 2026 annual wind turbine framework procurement bid-in phase is expected to cover a total installed capacity of 35GW. Of this, the onshore total is expected to be 31GW, and the offshore total is expected to be 4GW, with bids submitted in 2 packages.

Package 1 (31GW onshore turbine model): There are 10 candidate qualified suppliers, namely Goldwind Technology, Goldwind Co., CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Vestas Energy, Sany Heavy Energy, Mingyang Smart Energy, SPIC Haizhuang, AEG Wind, Dongfang Wind Power, and CRRC Shandong Wind Power.

Package 2 (4GW offshore turbine model): There are 9 candidate qualified suppliers, namely Goldwind Technology, SPIC Haizhuang, Dongfang Wind Power, AEG Wind, Goldwind Co., Sany Heavy Energy, CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Mingyang Smart Energy, and Vestas Energy.

Project owner bid-opening data statistics

In March 2026, excluding centralized procurement projects, 11 developer companies released bid-opening results for wind turbine procurement: China Huaneng, China Huadian, CEC, China Power Construction, CGN, State Power Investment Corporation, Zhejiang Energy Group, Shaanxi Investment Group, SDIC Group, Zhangjiakou Guokong Group, and Yunnan Energy Investment.

In terms of total bid-opening scale, China Huaneng ranked first with 2,888.9MW, China Huadian ranked second with 2,368.3MW, and Zhejiang Energy Group ranked third with 1,800MW.

China Huaneng had 6 bid-opening projects in total, with a total installed capacity of 2,888.9MW, with turbine OEMs Dongfang Wind Power, Sany Heavy Energy, and AEG Wind winning bids.

02 China Huadian

China Huadian had 8 bid-opening projects in total, with a total installed capacity of 2,368.3MW, with turbine OEMs SPIC Haizhuang, Goldwind Co., CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Vestas Energy, and Dongfang Wind Power winning bids.

03 Zhejiang Energy Group

Zhejiang Energy Group had 3 bid-opening projects in total, with a total installed capacity of 1,800MW, with turbine OEMs Vestas Energy, Dongfang Wind Power, and Goldwind Co. winning bids.

04 CGN

CGN had 3 bid-opening projects in total, with a total installed capacity of 607.5MW, with turbine OEMs Goldwind Technology and AEG Wind winning bids.

05 Yunnan Energy Investment

Yunnan Energy Investment had 1 bid-opening project in total, with a total installed capacity of 250MW, with turbine OEM Goldwind Co. winning the bid.

06 China Power Construction

China Power Construction had 1 bid-opening project in total, with a total installed capacity of 230MW, with turbine OEM CRRC Zhuzhou Institute winning the bid.

07 CEC

CEC had 2 bid-opening projects in total, with a total installed capacity of 220MW, with turbine OEM Sany Heavy Energy winning the bid.

08 Zhangjiakou Guokong Group

Zhangjiakou Guokong Group had 1 bid-opening project in total, with a total installed capacity of 200MW, with turbine OEM Goldwind Technology winning the bid.

09 Shaanxi Investment Group

Shaanxi Investment Group had 2 bid-opening projects in total, with a total installed capacity of 150MW, with turbine OEMs Goldwind Technology and Goldwind Co. winning the bids.

10 State Power Investment Corporation

State Power Investment Corporation had 2 bid-opening projects in total, with a total installed capacity of 140MW, with turbine OEMs Goldwind Co. and Sany Heavy Energy winning the bids.

11 SDIC Group

SDIC Group had 1 bid-opening project in total, with a total installed capacity of 100MW, with turbine OEM CRRC Zhuzhou Institute winning the bid.
