Iranian military claims to have carried out drone strikes against Israeli and U.S. military targets in Kuwait

People’s Finance and News, April 5—Local time on the 5th, the Islamic Republic of Iran Armed Forces issued Announcement No. 56. The announcement states that, following the successful interception of an enemy aircraft by Iran’s air defense system earlier, Iranian forces carried out a decisive military operation in the early hours of the day to respond to the “crimes” of the United States and Israel. According to the communiqué, Iranian forces deployed a drone swarm and carried out precision strikes on Israel’s “petrochemical industrial facilities and petroleum products storage depots” located near Dimona. It is reported that the underground emergency fuel reserves in that area are of major strategic significance to energy supplies in southern Israel. At the same time, Iranian drones also attacked equipment depots, satellite communications units, and the U.S. military command headquarters at the U.S. base on Bubiyan Island in Kuwait. The communiqué points out that the base serves as a core node of the U.S. Central Command in the region, and recently has been tasked with large volumes of communications interception and battle management duties, as well as deploying offensive weapons such as the “HIMARS” multiple launch rocket system. The announcement emphasizes that this military action reflects the will of Iran’s armed forces to defend national sovereignty and counter external provocations, and it calls the strike a strong and effective response to the enemy’s recent military actions.
