Just took a look at the performance of Hong Kong and U.S. depositary receipts, and today’s market really has some interesting moves. JD.com and NetEase ADRs closed higher yesterday, with gains of about 1%, and these two are relatively resilient. AIA’s American depositary receipts showed little fluctuation, remaining stable.
However, a few others underperformed. Hong Kong Exchanges, Meituan, Alibaba, and China Construction Bank’s American depositary receipts are all trending downward, indicating that market interest in these assets is somewhat lukewarm. It seems that the Hong Kong ADR market today is quite polarized, with some rising and others falling.
