Houthi claims joint operations with Iran at the highest level

A member of Yemen’s Houthi movement’s political bureau, Hisham al-Asad, said in an interview with CCTV on April 4 that joint operations by Houthi forces and Iran’s armed forces, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, and other parties are “at the highest level.” In response to the United States and Israel’s military escalation, the Houthis have multiple options for retaliation; over the coming days, as long as the aggression continues, the Houthis’ actions will inevitably escalate. Al-Asad also said that when the United States launches an act of aggression against Iran and other people in the region by crossing more than ten thousand kilometers, any incidents that affect shipping lanes, regional security, or even global security—the responsibility and consequences for them should be borne by the United States.
