Greece claims that the "Patriot" system deployed in Saudi Arabia shot down a missile launched from Iran
Greek Defense Minister Dendias revealed that in the morning, the Greek “Patriot” missile defense system deployed in Saudi Arabia shot down two ballistic missiles launched from Iran.
Subsequently, the Greek government spokesperson issued a statement saying that Greece’s “Patriot” missile defense system has been deployed since 2021 under the bilateral defense agreement between Greece and Saudi Arabia, and the interception of the Iranian missiles does not mean Greece is involved in the US-Israel-Iran conflict.
