GitHub hosting that pile of code, a stack of audit reports, multi-signature upgrades written quite nicely—can we really trust it? Honestly, I don’t expect to see through everything at a glance; I just want to leave myself some buffer to “have a cup of tea and then double-check.”

When I look at newcomers trying to assess credibility, don’t get sidetracked by Layer 2’s water battles over TPS, fees, and subsidies. First, focus on three small things: Is GitHub being maintained by someone long-term (not just a sudden burst of activity that then disappears), do the audit reports clearly explain the risks in plain language and does the team respond, and who actually holds the keys for multi-signature upgrades, is there a timelock giving everyone time to react? Anyway, I’d rather be slow and cautious than mistake “popularity” for “safety.”
