On the evening of April 20th local time, the Israel Defense Forces stated in a statement that earlier that day, they killed multiple Hezbollah members in southern Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil and near the Litani River. The IDF said in the statement that these Hezbollah members “violated the ceasefire agreement” and posed a threat to IDF troops. Currently, Hezbollah has not responded to this. At midnight on the 17th local time, Lebanon and Israel initiated a 10-day ceasefire. On April 20th, a spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces said that during the ceasefire, the IDF continued to station in southern Lebanon to respond to Hezbollah activities. (CCTV News)
