Just caught something interesting about Bitcoin's trajectory. Cathie Wood from ARK Invest has been pretty vocal lately about where she thinks BTC is headed, and honestly, her take is worth paying attention to.
She's saying Bitcoin hasn't really had its moment yet. Think about it - major financial institutions were basically sitting on the sidelines through most of last year, waiting to see how things would play out. That's actually a huge deal because once those heavy hitters fully jump in, we could see a totally different story.
What's wild is that after the SEC gave the green light, Cathie Wood's team completely revised their price targets upward. We're talking about their forecasts literally doubling from what they had before. And they've accelerated their timeline too, which suggests they're seeing catalysts coming sooner rather than later.
So according to Cathie Wood's latest thesis, we could be looking at Bitcoin reaching $1.5 million by 2030. That's a pretty bold call, but given how institutional adoption is ramping up and the regulatory environment has shifted, it's not as wild as it might sound a year or two ago.
With BTC currently trading around $75K, there's clearly a lot of runway if her prediction plays out. Definitely one of those takes that makes you think about what the next few years could look like in this space.
