I saw a rather sad story online about Эндрю Тейт and his trading on Hyperliquid. The guy invested $727,000 there and completely wiped out everything. Blockchain analysts found that in the end, he had less than a thousand dollars left in his account. His deposit balance is simply catastrophic.
What’s interesting is that he even tried to recover through the ref referral program. He received $75,000 in commissions from referrals, but instead of withdrawing, he spent it all again on trading. And again, he lost. This guy’s trading history is just a nightmare—over the course of several months, more than 80 trades, and of those, only 35 percent were profitable. In June, he lost $597,000, then in November another $235,000 on битке with 40x leverage. One successful short on YZY brought in $16,000, but that’s just a drop in the ocean.
Analysts now call him one of the worst traders in crypto. And this is despite the fact that people allegedly still pay him for some kind of advice. His wealth is a clear example of why you need to be very careful with margin trading on децентрализованных биржах. High leverage can instantly blow up the entire deposit if it’s miscalculated. Even experienced whales on Hyperliquid lose tens of millions. Tate clearly underestimated these risks.
