Today (the 20th), the Supreme People’s Court released the “Status of Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property in Chinese Courts (2025),” providing a comprehensive overview of the overall situation of intellectual property judicial protection work carried out by the people’s courts in 2025. In 2025, the people’s courts newly accepted 552,600 cases of all types of intellectual property disputes and concluded 539,600 cases. Among them, the courts concluded 64,000 first-instance civil cases involving technology-related intellectual property rights, strengthening technological protection in fields such as integrated circuits, industrial machine tools, high-end instruments, basic software, advanced materials, and bio-manufacturing, achieving good results.
