These days, I’ve been bombarded again by group messages and KOLs. As soon as the notification rings, I get itchy, clicking on a bunch of “Buy Now” phrases. Honestly, the main reason for impulsive buying is still myself. Of course, KOLs should be responsible, but the kind of mutual hype in the group is even more terrifying. Clearly, I didn’t carefully check the slippage, depth, or routing; I saved a few transaction fees, only to be eaten up by a fixed price later… What I regret isn’t the outcome, but that I didn’t give myself a 10-minute cooling-off period before acting.

Recently, the playbook of blockchain games feels similar. When inflation kicks in, studios enter the scene, and the coin price suddenly spikes, everyone is still in the group shouting “Add to the dip,” but the excitement belongs to them, and the cost is mine. From now on, I plan to: first turn off half of the group notifications, and before trading, check the transaction quality; otherwise, more information just becomes noise.
