Just caught the energy market getting hammered today. WTI crude oil futures took a massive hit, dropping over 11% to close at $83.85 a barrel. That's a brutal day for oil futures traders. Meanwhile, the rest of the energy complex followed suit - natural gas settled around $2.67 per MMBtu, gasoline at $3.00 a gallon, and heating oil at $3.40. Pretty rough across the board when you're holding these oil futures positions. Wonder what's driving this kind of selloff in the energy sector right now.
