The more I argue about royalties, the more I feel it's like a "risk exposure test." In the past, everyone assumed that secondary sales would leave a cut for creators, but now that the rules have changed, liquidity is fleeing faster than anyone, and that small cash flow expectation creators had has turned into an empty check... The excitement belongs to others; I just want to see: who withdraws their orders first after royalties are canceled, and who changes their income pathways on-chain.
Some people blame it on "market freedom," but honestly, the sorting rights are in whose hands, and who can capture MEV. Retail investors' complaints are not without reason: on one hand, they complain that validators/miners' income is declining, and on the other hand, they want creators to generate power through passion. It’s quite tangled. Anyway, when I look at projects now, I first check whether they have a plan to survive without relying on secondary royalties. If not... I’d rather participate less. You ask, "What about the creators?"... I don’t know, for now, that’s how it is.
