Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Hope relevant parties act responsibly to honor the ceasefire agreement and provide the necessary conditions for the resumption of normal passage through the strait

On April 20th, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun hosted a routine press conference. A reporter asked about the situation in the Strait of Hormuz. Guo Jiakun stated that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is sensitive and complex, and we are concerned about the U.S. side’s forced stopping of relevant ships. We hope that all parties will act responsibly, abide by the ceasefire agreement, avoid escalating conflicts and intensifying tensions, and provide the necessary conditions for the normalization of traffic through the strait.
